Visa information

There are two possibilities to officially apply for a visa for your stay in Rwanda.The first option is to apply via an official embassy of Rwanda in your country or close to your country. However, we highly recommend you to use the online visa application procedure because of the low costs and the fast process. Please use the following steps to make use of this option:

Go to the website of the Government of Rwanda.

Choose the option: Conference Visa, here you can take the following steps:

Upload a scan of your passport
Upload your picture (max 40 kb)
Upload the visa facilitation letter from the Rwandan Convention Bureau

Pay online for the online visa $ 30

After payment you will receive a confirmation of your payment.
After 5 working days you will receive your Visa acceptance letter.

Take the Visa acceptance letter and the payment confirmation with you to the airport. You can walk directly to the customs and don not have to que anymore.

The following nationalities may visit Rwanda, for 90 days, without applying for a visa: Hong Kong, Philippines, Mauritius, Singapore and the Democratic Republic Congo.

The following nationalities can pay $ 30 for their visa upon arrival, for 30 days, without prior application: Australia, Germany, Israel, New Zealand, Republic of South Africa, Sweden, United Kingdom, and United States of America.
